I had the privilege of being the official photographer for Glen Arbor’s Winter Fest yesterday. I was hired by Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce, where my daughter Raquel Jackson of Rockwell Art & Design manages their marketing & website.
First things first, yesterday was brutally cold with wind chills well below zero. I walked on on the ice of Little Glen Lake at 8:30 in the morning to capture the images of fishermen. The guys thought the DNR had shown up when they heard a knock on their ice shanty door. Fortunately, I was given a lift back to my car in a covered polaris!
There was a fantastic turn-out for the chili cook-off at Boondocks, and apparently fun was had by all! The live music from inside the cozy restaurant was pipped outdoors so there was a festive feeling in the air, besides the stinging cold!
