Last summer, during a hike on the Old Indian Trail in Sleeping Bear National Park, I had the idea to create a coloring book based on scenes from Leelanau Peninsula.
The natural beauty that I am surrounded with is astounding. I have been graced with a gift…an ability to draw…I want to make something that I can share with the world…I enjoy connecting with my community through creative projects…all of these ideas were planted in my heart on that hot summer day.
Back in February, I officially began the project by researching, consulting, praying and drawing.
Now here I am, just moments away from the project coming to completion…a reality! The journey has been one of faith and love. I am utterly thankful to have been given the opportunity to immerse myself at this level. Never before have I tackled a creative project this big.
