Multi Generational Living…is a deliberate, conscious and historical decision…
I am certain that for hundreds and thousands of years, choosing to live a multi generational life-style was essential and expected. It was simply the norm. Perhaps the elder generation had a separate dwelling nearby or even under the same roof.
My daughter Raquel Jackson, her husband, who we call Jackson, their sons Abraham & Levi all live under the same roof, with me…Madre. (AKA Mush, that is what Abraham calls me!)
Historically, this was not unusual, however in today’s world it is rather unique. I feel truly fortunate, to live amicably with a portion of my brood. (Mike & Katie are still down state…). Not only that, Jackson has coined the phrase, “We are better together.” We freely help, encourage and love one another.
Our days are full, noisy, adventuresome and always provide a platform for tremendous growth.
We live as simply as possible, three entrepreneurs and two busy little boys, under one small roof, living our dreams and staying extremely thankful for the provision! Leelanau County provides the backdrop for a peaceful & creative place to raise animals, children and products to help share the love.
